The Way of St. James in Bavarian Swabia leads from Oettingen via Wemding to Harburg along the eastern rim of the Ries crater, through a highly diverse cultural landscape. From there, the route continues through the idyllic Wörnitz Valley to Donauwörth, and from there towards Holzen Monastery to Augsburg.
