We start our cycling tours In Rennertshofen with its historic market town center, we approach the Urdonautal valley in the Altmühltal Nature Park meter by meter, letting steep cliffs and small villages pass by. From Dollnstein, the Altmühl will be our quiet but constant companion, until finally, in the distance, the Willibaldsburg Castle heralds the baroque university town of Eichstätt. Shortly after Eichstätt, the path leads us gently uphill via Pfünz towards Hofstetten. History buffs can look back into the past of the local region at the Jura Farm Museum. Via the small communities of Böhmfeld and Gaimersheim, we reach the northern outskirts of the vibrant city of Ingolstadt. For the last few meters in Ingolstadt, we initially follow the Altmühltal cycle path, which then leads from Danube Bike Path and takes us to the inviting Klenzepark on the Danube Cyclists who want to cycle from Ingolstadt back to Neuburg an der Donau / Rennertshofen, take the Danube Bike PathTired cyclists bridge the section by train to Neuburg an der Danube and then cycle the last stretch on the Danube Cycle Path back to the starting point.
