New Palace Ingolstadt

The New Palace is one of the outstanding monuments of late medieval secular architecture in BavariaIt was built from 1418 onwards under the reign of Duke Ludwig the Bearded, initially as the residence of the Dukes of Bavaria-Ingolstadt. The complex was not only a residence and seat of government, but also an integral part of the city's defenses. Today the New Palace houses the Bavarian Army Museum.
