Pförring Market Square & St. Leonhard Parish Church

Pförring's market square is the most beautiful in the entire Eichstätt district. It's not just the geographical center of the market town; the town's most important buildings are clustered around the square, which was redesigned in 2012. Our market square is open, sunny, and offers an impressive backdrop for events. Surrounding the market square are the listed buildings of St. Leonhard Parish Church, St. Sebastian Chapel, the new town hall, and the Bronzezille fountain, which commemorates the town's historic past as a ferry stop, "Faringa." The traditional market days of the Georgi and Leonhardi markets also take place at the center of social life.
