The Baroque Obermarchtal Monastery lies directly above the Danube and on the Danube Cycle Path. This magnificent complex is one of the major churches and monasteries on the Upper Swabian Baroque Route. Particularly worth seeing and open to visitors are the early Baroque cathedral with its unique stucco decorations, valuable altars, choir stalls, and Holzhey organ, as well as the Hall of Mirrors with Baroque frescoes. Just outside the monastery gates, the Klostergasthof Adler invites you to take a leisurely rest in the historic parlor or on the terrace.
