For more than a century, the Hohner company collected virtually everything of relevance to the industry. This resulted in the globally unique Hohner Collection, which today comprises approximately 25.000 different harmonicas, numerous hand-operated instruments, and an extensive collection of documents relating to the history of the industry. The harmonicas and accordions on display convey a sense of the diversity of these instruments. Harmonica covers and cases tell stories of war and peace, princes and politicians, fashion, sports, and music in past decades. Historical advertising posters and brochures document the history of the industry and typical marketing strategies of the time. Film and audio recordings provide insight into the cultural history of harmonica instruments. The highlight is the world's largest button accordion.
