The German Danube is only an international waterway from Kelheim onwards. All motorized shipping traffic upstream of Kelheim is prohibited. Boat tours are available on the Regensburg-Passau section. Cruise ships depart from Passau, traveling via Vienna and Budapest to the Black Sea.
